LYDA Live Your Dream Africa

    Jeoffrey Hlongo started attending YouthReach meetings at Diepsloot Combined School aged 15. Struggling with issues of depression and poor self-esteem he responded to the Gospel and the materials we gave to him. He formed Angel's Voices a singing group for younsgters. He would gather them in the garden of a groups of shacks close to the school.

    In 2014 he registered  his own foundation called LYDA. Every Saturday LYDA provides Bible study and academic support in the morning and training in performing arts in the afternoon for up to 50 township teenagers.

  For the last three years Jeoffrey has been studying Communication and Public Relations at the  University of Johannesburg. LYDA is going from strength to strength and YouthReach continues to mentor and support Jeoffrey and LYDA.
